A great place to stay. First, the staff at this hotel is wonderful. Friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and patient. I can't compliment them highly enough. The hotel decor is an eye catching mixture of what I can best describe as industrial pop culture. It's sort of unusual, but works magnificently. Spotlessly clean. Our room was comfortable and thoughtfully designed. The bed was very comfortable. The included breakfast was deliciously prepared, although I would have liked to have seen more variety in the choices over the 4 days we spent there. Still, there are enough options that I was able to vary my choices to add some variety. I don't think you could ask for a better location. It's close to everything. I was able to walk to all the major attractions inside Reykjavik and there are lots of great restaurants nearby. The only downside with the location is that the airport bus cannot stop in front of the hotel and they have to stop a block away, so there is a short walk with suitcases and such to get to the hotel. However, it's well worth it. This is a great hotel and we had a very enjoyable stay.
Great hotel in a fab location for Rainbow Street and the old town. We had a fabulous room on fifth floor with private terrace. The room was superbly appointed and spacious with separate seating area and great views. Lots of lounge areas to …
This hotel is in a fantastic location in the heart of the city. It is beautiful inside and out. The layout, decor, ambiance, and amenities are top notch. Our room exceeded expectations and the bed was very comfortable. I would have given …
Amazing rooms, which were kept super clean. The breakfast was wonderful, especially having spent many a night in hotels with less than stellar coffee. The staff were super helpful. The location was better than I'd expected. Would definitely stay there again.
I recently went here for my birthday, and I loved staying here! The staff was friendly, the rooms were a little small but definitely cozy. I love the decor, it’s beautiful. The food was pretty good as well. Also the location is in the perfect spot. You can walk all over the city center. Very close to bars, restaurants, bakeries, and shopping. The rainbow street is about a 3 min walk, and the cathedral is about a 8-10 min walk. There is a white parking garage right across the street, we spent about $15-20 a night (2 night). I would come here again!
The room was very nice and the temperature was comfortable. There was a couple of sitting areas which were pleasant to be in .the service at the front desk was very good. This hotel was also close to a bus stop for Tours so you didn’t have …
We had a really lovely 4-night stay in January. The hotel staff were helpful and friendly. They’re able to store luggage on your travel days. The breakfast was a really pleasant surprise…it was obvious the chef cared and made a really nice spread of some Nordic and standard breakfast fare. They also had pretty nice pastries. The common spaces were also really cozy and beautiful. Would definitely stay here again. Only fair warning - it’s very convenient to the main walking street - so on Saturday night it was super loud until the wee hours. You are downtown after all. Only rocky experience of our stay. It’s closest to bus stop #6 - culture house. Great that it’s part of the Hilton profile. Thanks for a lovely stay!
My wife and I were drawn to this beautiful hotel after it was featured in the HBO show "The Flight Attendant". This hotel has such a cozy atmosphere that it's immediately welcoming. You can spend time relaxing in their numerous seating areas and they have a cafe available for use at their entrance. The concierges were amazing and always provided excellent service. The restaurant provides breakfast that is much better than a typical Continental breakfast. They do also offer dinner service and we attended one night. The food was very good, but I think it's a bit overpriced for what you're getting. The rooms themselves are very comfortable. We had a junior suite to get a king size bed and it was spacious with a nice bed. The bed is a bit on the firm side if that is your preference. Our suite also had a bathtub which was a nice addition and to my knowledge every bathroom has heated floors. Only minor complaints, is there is no fan in the bathrooms (which I found a bit odd) and the toilets can be a bit sensitive to flushing so be cautious with flushing excess. All in all the Canopy is in a perfect location in Reykjavik. We were able to walk to everything we wanted to do and it's very close to bus stops as well if you're doing any excursions on your trip. We stayed for 5 days and the costs were very affordable all things considered. I fully recommend this hotel.
